Case 4: Medical Equipment EEG Units Back to Case Histories' Menu

Problem
A $20 million East Coast manufacturer of medical diagnostic equipment had an opportunity to acquire a complementary electroencephalograph (EEG) product line from an industry leader. It had neither the extensive engineering nor the manufacturing resources to exploit this offer.

At the suggestion of an industry colleague, the company turned to DA-TECH CORPORATION.

Solution
DA-TECH personnel joined with the equipment manufacturer’s management group and formed an acquisition team to evaluate the electroencephalograph (EEG) unit.

DA-TECH redesigned the product, adding state-of-the-art electronics, microcomputers, firmware and user-interface software (requiring 50,000 lines of code), and fabricated 10 pre-production prototypes – within nine months after the device’s acquisition.

Profit from Our Experience
Following certification by the Food and Drug Administration, DA-TECH manufactured, tested and delivered hundreds of the EEG units to medical facilities nationwide.
